About the Artist
Log McQuaig
Since graduating with an honours B.A. in English Literature from
Queen’s University, Log McQuaig has been self-employed as a
cartoonist/humourist. His recent book, Your Card is Declined
has been called a ‘hilarious romp through adult life’ and is
available on Amazon books.
Log has been painting and drawing, since at the age of six years
old, he stumbled on a copy of Learn to Draw with Job Gnagy.
Since then, he has been trying to emulate Lawren Harris, Tom
Thomson and the European impressionists. With an affinity for
streetscapes in Toronto, his specialty is house portraits in South
Eglinton, Davisville and Leaside. ( And cottages and landscapes
in lake country too.)
His great love in painting is the play of light and shadow and
how it colours mood and memory.
